Hi, I'm Eve, a Finnish comics artist and illustrator!

I create fun webcomics and zines about ghost people and draw cartoon-style illustrations for people and products.

A cartoon-style portait of comics artist Eve Kajander and their pet dog, Päivikki. They are both sitting on a yellow sofa and striking a silly pose. Eve is a thin, white person with short, green hair and round glasses, and they are swinging their arms and legs up. Päivikki is a brindle whippet with white markings. She is sitting with both of her front paws held up like a squirrel.

Enchanted Enough

Josh’s marriage to his high school sweetheart has ended in a divorce and his son would rather spend time with his now ex-wife’s new boyfriend. If only he too had someone new and exciting in his life! Meanwhile, the boss of an organization of supernatural beings wants to convince their underling that they so would be excellent at dating humans.

Enchanted Enough is a humor/supernatural webcomic series about romance in the least romantic way possible. Short weekly updates on Instagram, longer updates monthly to bi-monthly here, and in the future, on Webtoon.

Spooky Spouses

In a world where humans and supernatural creatures live among each other, human disaster Carol starts dating a ghost man. It’s all fun and games until she starts developing feelings for his demon wife as well!

Spooky Spouses is a light-hearted series of romance/humor comic strips published weekly on Webtoon and Instagram 2019-2021.

Cover of the comics anthology Piikkiönlahden Merenneito. The layout is made to look like the front page of a newpaper, with Erittäin Salainen Tissimerenneitoseura in a gothic typeface on top and the album's name in Times New Roman on the bottom. In the middle is an illustration of a green mermaid's tail lying half on the beach, half in the sea. The sea is coloured red from the blood of the mermaid.

Hire me for illustration work

Whether you’re a private person, an evil benevolent mega corporation, or something in between, by throwing down some money you can get a cartoonist to do your bidding! Cartoon-style portraits, spot illustrations and fun pattern designs with crisp lineart and bold colors are some of my favourite things to work on. Check out my portfolio and send me a message to discuss your project and get a free quote.

1. Inquiry

Start by sending me a creative brief – tell me about yourself and the project. Who is the illustration’s target audience and where will it be used and how? Do you have a vision in mind for the style of the illustration? What sizes and formats do you need me to provide?

2. Agreement

Based on the information you’ve given I will either send you a quote, or further questions until I have enough information to send the quote. Once we’re on the same page about the details and pricing of the job, we’ll move on to payment and production.

3. Payment

Private commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after sketch approval. For commercial work I tend to send the bill before delivering the final files.

4. Production

The steps from a blank canvas to finished work are sketching, lineart, and coloring. In some cases a reference/moodboard may come before the sketching phase. One round of edits after each phase is included in the price. Additional changes can be made for an extra charge based on an hourly wage.

5. Delivery

Once the art is finished you will receive digital files in previously agreed upon sizes and formats. Note that there is no physical product. Depending on where you live, we can arrange to print your artwork. Ask away!
